Early Bird Registrations Now Open: Olympic Handball Schools Competition 2024/2025

We’re delighted to announce that registration is now open for the Olympic Handball Ireland Schools Competition 2025/2026!

This is your school’s chance to be part of one of the most exciting and inclusive school sports competitions in Ireland. The competition runs from September to April, with matches played at county, provincial, and All-Ireland level.

Whether you’re new to handball or a returning school, now’s the perfect time to get involved.

🗓️ How It Works

The competition follows a progressive format:

• Group matches are played within counties

• County winners move forward to Provincial finals

• Provincial winners compete in the All-Ireland Finals

Schools can compete in boys’ and girls’ categories across different class levels, with formats tailored to suit each age group.

For Primary Schools:

• Minis Boys & Girls

  • 3rd & 4th Class (ROI)

  • Year 5, Year 6 & Year 7 (NI)

• Junveniles Boys & Girls 

  • 5th & 6th Class (ROI)

  • Year 7 & Year 8 (Secondary School) (NI)

For Secondary Schools:

• Juniors Boys & Girls

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd Years (ROI)

  • Year 9, Year 10 & Year 11 (NI)

• Seniors Boys & Girls

  • 4th, 5th & 6th Years (ROI)

  • Year 12, Year 13 & Year 14 (NI)
