We're Hiring: Director of Finance (Voluntary)

Olympic Handball Ireland is looking for a new Director of Finance to join our Board of Directors.

This is a voluntary, non-executive role for someone with a background in finance who wants to support the growth of handball in Ireland.

OHI is the National Governing Body for the sport across the 32 counties of Ireland, working alongside organisations like Sport Ireland, the Olympic Federation of Ireland, and the European Handball Federation.

Ideal candidates will have:

• A degree in finance, business, or accounting (CPA/ACA/ACCA certification preferred)
• Experience in financial oversight, audit, budgeting, and risk management
• Familiarity with the not-for-profit sector, grant funding, and financial controls
• A commitment to OHI's mission and values

Knowledge of Olympic handball is desirable but not essential. We strongly encourage female leaders to apply as we are committed to a gender balance of at least 40% on the Board.

🕒 Roughly 6–8 hours per month, plus 8–10 Board meetings per year (mostly online)
